Sony Ericsson W850i

The Sony Ericsson W850i is a Walkman-branded phone in a slide design. Available in either golden white or precious black, this phone measures 98 x 47 x 21mm and weighs 116g which, while not the smallest device around, is a reasonable size for the functionality it provides.

With its alphanumeric keypad concealed until slid out, the W850i presents the user with an array of navigational and selection keys positioned beneath the units 240 x 320 pixel 262K TFT color screen.

The Walkman series of phones have established a first-class reputation for music, and the W850i fully lives up to expectations. You can enjoy stereo sound from the music player or the FM radio with excellent audio quality and user-friendliness. The music player makes use of the Sony Walkman 2.0 platform with support for a range of popular file formats that include MP3, MP4, AAC, MIDI and WAV. The Mega Bass™ feature enhances bass frequencies and a good stereo headset is supplied in the sales package.

The W850i supports USB mass storage, which means that files can be easily and quickly transferred with a drag and drop operation.

The W850i is a tri-band GSM 900.1800/1900 phone with UMTS for 3G connectivity. The phone's 3G connectivity allows you to link to the Sony online music store to purchase tracks. Storage capacity for music tracks or other items is provided by the supplied 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo card - this is expandable to 4GB.

The W850i is also a camera phone of course, and is equipped with a good quality 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and flash. Again Sony Ericsson has taken the decision not to include a flash feature with the result that I often had to delete rather dark images or carry out major adjustments using the built-in image editing feature.  A second camera, VGA this time, is located above the main screen to provide face-to-face video calling with others using a similarly specified handset.

Battery life is estimated to be in the region of 9 hours with 400 hours being claimed for standby mode. This has got to be one of the best Walkman phones released so far, and that's saying a lot.

LG Chocolate

LG Chocolate is definitely a stylish, sophisticated and functional phone. I think that it is one of the most luxurious phones on the market. It has a heat sensitive touch pad which glows when it's active. You can also enter the menus and functions before you slide it open. If you think that it's going to be turned on by differents items in your purse or pocket you are wrong because it is activated only by warm touch.

It also has a 256,000 color, 176x220 TFT LCD screen and it also gives you the capability to customize the display and it is also used as a viewfinder for the 1.3 mega pixel camera.

The camera has a flash, 4x digital zoom and you can take pictures at a size of 1280x960. Pretty cool,hm?! You can store all the pictures you have taken in a photo album but if you want you can also send them to all your friends.

The LG Chocolate can also be connceted yo a PC with the included USB cable and it has an ineternal memory of 128 mb. The music player supports MP3 files that can also be used as ringtones. It also uses Java technology so you can access all the latest games and applications as well as send or receive mails because it features wireless Bluetooth technology.

If you are interested in the colour, you don't have to worry because LG Chocolate comes in a variety of colours to fit your style preference.

Vegetarian Diet

  • Feb 27, 2008

There are some essential factors which influence the general state of health and quality of life. These factors include eating, working, exercising, resting and spiritual activity. Eating crucially influences the state of health. It provides the body with essential vital substances which are subsequently converted into the necessary forms of energy for life. This is why we give special attention to food and eating. A wide range of diets emerged from various traditions and philosophies. Vegetarian diets promote a healthy way of eating. Vegetarian diets propose an eating style based on foods of vegetable origin. Vegetarians discourage the consumption of animal products. However, there are some more permissive variants of vegetarian diets like the lacto-vegetarian approach which includes dairy products or the lacto-ovo-vegetarian variant which includes eggs and dairy products. The vegetarian diet might take the form of a “raw diet”. because all the vegetables are eaten uncooked, thus preserving their natural qualities. There are three types of vegetarians: vegans, lacto-vegetarians, lacto-ovo-vegetarians.All variants of vegetarian diets restrain meat and animal fat consumption.  The lacto-vegetarians allow the consumption of dairy products as well as plant food; the lacto-ovo-vegetarians allow the consumption of eggs as well as plant foods and dairy products and the vegans are more strict and the permitted food consists only in plant food.

   Advantages

The vegetarian diet promotes a healthier way of eating because eating meat in small quantities is the key to better health. When following a vegetarian diet one benefits from the healthy nutrients in plants like fiber which reduces the risk of colon cancer, heart disease and diabetes; Phytonutrients and Antioxidants.

  Disadvantages

Vegetarians should carefully watch their vitamin and mineral intake, in order to avoid imbalance. The body may be deprived of some vitamins and minerals. They should supplement the resources for vitamins and minerals in order to cover the necessary amount.

If you are not a vegetarian and don’t seek to become one I suggest you occasionally to have meatless meals based on plant food because it really is a healthy alternative to our eating styles.
